Messi apologizes to his teammates and PSG for the trip to Saudi Arabia

Leo Messi posted a video on social networks this Friday to apologize to his club, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), and to his teammates for going to Saudi Arabia without permission on Monday, a day after the Ligue 1 defeat. Arabia have traveled. Sunday against Lorient (1-3).

“I wanted to make this video for everything that happens. According to the French press, Messi has been removed from the team and punished with two weeks of employment and salary for going to Saudi Arabia to fulfill private advertising obligations (promotion of the Gulf country as a tourist destination), when he should have trained with the rest of the team of companions.

The only PSG source to have publicly confirmed the sanction is Messi’s coach, Christophe Galtier, who did not provide details on the nature of the sanction.
