Julio Tehran makes his debut with the Milwaukee Brewers

Come back and play in the big leagues. Bolivarian pitcher José Quintana will be on the mound as the starting pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers in its game against the San Francisco Giants, next Thursday at American Family Field, starting at 6:40 p.m.

Quintana returns to the Big Top after playing baseball in the Dominican Republic (Toros del Este) and Mexico (Sultanes de Monterrey and Toros de Tijuana).

His last game in the Majors was with the Detroit Tigers, on April 10, 2021. It was his debut and retirement, the only commitment he made with the cat team before getting injured.

On February 8 of this year, the Cartagena native received a Minor League contract and an invitation to Spring Training from the San Diego Padres, but was later forwarded to the Triple A branch of the California team, El Paso Chihuahuas.

It stayed there until the brewers’ offer came out this week. This Thursday he returns to the hill of sighs and once again enjoys the pleasure of throwing in the elite of hot ball.

Tehran will face 33-year-old starter Scott Alexander, who has four wins so far this season.

The Colombian adds his 241st game in the Major Leagues, a category he reached in 2011 with the Atlanta Braves. He has 78 wins and 77 wins, with a career time of 3.80.
