Junior’s first new face for the second semester of 2023 will have to wait. Although Juan Fernando Caicedo was quite close to the team, in the end this will not happen.
This was confirmed by the same footballer, who assured that Fuad Char Abdala, director of the rojiblanco team, was in charge of the news.
“It was something very normal. Mr. Fuad Char wrote to me yesterday, we talked for a while, he also communicated with my employer, something was discussed verbally. Thank you for noticing me. Then he himself says, very respectfully, that thanks for the attention, but that the coach had chosen a different option and that is normal,” said the attacker in conversation with the El Bordillo program.
The attacker, who recently left Deportes Tolima, clarified that he could not undergo medical examinations or anything similar.
“I didn’t go to Barranquilla. I do not know where the version that I failed medical examinations comes from, it seems strange to me. I thank the institution, because it is good that a team like Junior has noticed you,” said the footballer.
The striker further pointed out that he had no conversation with coach Hernán Darío Gómez.
“I had no communication with Hernán Darío Gómez, only with Mr. Fuad Char. We spoke last Thursday. With the teacher Hernán, we met several times in the field, some colleagues spoke very well of him, ”he noted.
Junior will continue to build his squad for the second half of the year, in which he will have to compete in the league and the Colombia Cup.
