The lesson that remains for us from these unforgivable episodes is that if 22-year-old Vini Junior is able to rise up against a hostile mob, we certainly can and must do more to break this frightening cycle of violence.

Lula one of the first to oppose Racist slurs received by the attacker Brazil’s Choice And real Madrid in the match against Valencia at the Mestalla, he assured that the great resonance that this episode caused showed that “racism knows no bounds.”
The President again defended Vinicius in a video message published by the Presidium and sent to United Nations Permanent Forum for People of African Descentmeeting held on Tuesday at the organization’s headquarters in New York, at which he was represented by his Minister for Racial Equality, Aniel Franco.
A progressive leader took the message to suggest that the next meeting of the Forum will be held in Brazil, second country with largest population of African descent in the world after Nigeria.
Today more than ever, this Forum is needed to advance the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of People of African Descent. The Delegation of Brazil reaffirms its commitment to the banner of racial equality in the domestic and international arena and leaves the doors open for the next session of the Forum to be held in Brazil.
