Gabriel Fuentes is no longer with Zaragoza. The Samario winger said goodbye to the Maño team through his social networks this Thursday with a heartfelt message and a series of photos of some of the moments he shared with his teammates.
The former Juniors winger, who has been in the Zaragoza squad for less than a year – he arrived on September 1, 2022 – thanked all the people at the club for allowing him to live this experience, his first international, and assured that he would leave happily, despite his wish being to continue on Spanish territory.
“I say goodbye and thank @realzaragoza and everyone who works for him, managers, coaching staff and their staff, assistants of the sports city and La Romadera, people who made my stay in Zaragoza more comfortable, and especially my fellow players, who helped me grow and stay strong along the way. I’ll take the best of each. Wishing you the best for the next season. God bless you,” he wrote.
“I am happy to have had this experience. Thanks for everything,” he concludes.
The 26-year-old Fuentes played 1,792 minutes at Real Zaragoza, spread over 1,702 in the Second Division League and 90 in the Copa del Rey. A total of 23 matches were played, with no goals scored. He received four yellow cards. He didn’t score any goals.
The desire of the lateral samarium is to continue abroad, either on European territory or in a team of the two most competitive leagues in South America, the Brazilian or the Argentine. If nothing is achieved with a club, the player must report to Youth Academy, the club that owns his sports rights.
