UEFA has reported that “disciplinary proceedings have been initiated in accordance with Article 55 of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations (DR) following the UEFA Europa League Final between Sevilla and Roma, played on 31 May 2023 in Budapest, Hungary”.
The charges against Sevilla are: invading the field, throwing objects, setting off fireworks and inappropriate behavior by the team.
The charges against Roma are: throwing objects, setting off fireworks, acts of damage, public riot, – inappropriate team behavior and abusive/offensive language against a match official (Mr José Mourinho).
“UEFA’s Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body (CEDB) will decide the matter in due course,” the UEFA note concludes.
