Javier “Chicarito” Hernandez Suffered torn anterior cruciate ligament of right knee and it will operate “on a date to be determined,” LA Galaxy said on Friday.
Chicharito was seriously injured this Wednesday in a match US Open Cup in which Galaxy were eliminated 3-2 in the quarter-finals against Real Salt Lake.
The striker, who was due to leave the field in the 27th minute, was injured alone and did not collide with any opposing player when he was running and his right knee caught on the grass.
As soon as he saw himself on the ground, “Chicarito” quickly sought medical help with gestures of pain and was later carried out on a stretcher.

A few hours after the match, the Mexican striker confirmed that he had a knee injury, although he still did not know the extent of her injury.
