The Soy Marino race returns with everything in its seventh edition

Barranquilla is ready to once again host the Soy Marino race, which arrives in the Atlantic capital for the seventh time this year and promises to remain one of the strongest competitions in the city.

The Colombian Navy, the Enop Mares Foundation of Colombia and the Naval Reserve are responsible for organizing this event, which has three categories: 15 km, 10 km and 5 km.

For this 2023, the race will once again take place on the Gran Malecón of the city and will pass the Shark’s Fin and the Édgar Rentería Stadium. Participants must be on site by 4:30 AM on Sunday, July 2 to begin their tour.

Javier Rodríguez, Captain and Director of the Seas of Colombia stated: “We await your arrival this year as always. We will leave the Gloria ship and return there. We invite the public to participate in this race”.

So far, 2,500 people have already registered for the race and the maximum number of participants is 3,000. In the 15k category the prize to enter is $105,000, in the 10k $90,000 and in the 5k $80,000.

From Friday 30 June to Saturday 1 July, the kits will be delivered to the participants. There are already people from Bogotá and Cali who have signed up for the race and it is expected that more participants will come from other parts of the country.

The organization of the competition will award a medal to all participants and there will be an economic incentive for the three best times for men and the three best times for women.
