06:54 Tuchel can hardly imagine Chelsea without Abramovich –

Manager Thomas Tuchel struggles with the departure of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich. The Russian billionaire announced on Wednesday that he wants to sell the London top club.

“It’s a little early to really say anything about this,” Tuchel said on Wednesday night after Chelsea beat Luton Town 2-3 in the FA Cup. “I can only think of Chelsea with Roman Abramovich at the moment,” he said.

“It’s so hard for me. I’m not fully aware that you’re stopping yet. This is a huge change. We haven’t really talked to the players about it yet. It will hurt some players more than others.”

Abramovich had previously decided to step back at Chelsea. That was in response to the British parliament, which threatened sanctions against wealthy Russians because of the war in Ukraine. Abramovich is said to have close ties to President Vladimir Putin.

“I’m not worried about myself”

Tuchel does not think the Chelsea sale will affect Abramovich any time soon. The German says he doesn’t care much either.

“We will have to accept it. Other than that I can’t say much about it at the moment because I don’t know anymore. I’m not worried about myself. I feel privileged, I hope. focus on what’s best and what’s good that touches me.”

Romelu Lukaku scored the winning goal for Luton Town-Chelsea. Chelsea’s next game is Saturday, when an away match against Burnley is expected in the Premier League.
