Schreuder takes club almost at the bottom, Juventus beats Fiorentina

Alfred Schreuder did not qualify for the final of the Belgian Cup with Club Brugge on Wednesday. On the way back from the semi-finals, the Dutch coach and his team suffered a hard defeat against KAA Gent: 0-3. Matthijs de Ligt defeated Juventus 0-1 with a late goal.

Club Brugge started the game in the Jan Breydel Stadium from a good starting position. He won the number two first leg 0-1 in the Jupiler Pro League last month.

The defending champion failed to continue that victory on Wednesday. Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe opened the goal two minutes later and Alessio Castro-Montes took the 0-2 lead ten minutes before the first half. Shortly after the break, the club fell to Denis Odoi because he received a red card. Laurent Depoitre made it 0-3 in the 54th minute.

Noa Lang played the entire game for the home team. Fifteen minutes later Bas Dost entered the field and Ruud Vormer remained on the bench for the entire game.

Ghent will take on the winner of the duo AS Eupen and Anderlecht in the final battle. The first game ended in 2-2 and there will be a comeback on Thursday.

Juventus beat Fiorentina at Coppa Italia

Juventus have already taken the lead against Fiorentina for a place in the Coppa Italia final. Torino won 0-1 with an own goal from Lorenzo Venuti in extra time.

Unlucky Venuti hit the ball hard in the 92nd minute and couldn’t prevent the ball going behind goalkeeper Pietro Terracciano. De Ligt played the entire match for the ‘old woman’. Former Feyenoord player Sofyan Amrabat stayed on the bench with the home team. The return will take place on April 21.

Juventus or Fiorentina will meet the winner of the double match between AC Milan and Internazionale in the final. The first game between the two teams ended in a goalless draw on Tuesday.

Goal Boadu does not help Monaco and Valencia in Copa final

In the French Cup semi-final, AS Monaco’s 2-2 score against Nantes was provided by backup Myron Boadu. The Dutch striker, on the other hand, lost the penalty series 4-2 and was unable to participate in the final.

For 21-year-old Boadu, it was only his third goal in 27 games. He moved from AZ to France for around 17 million euros last summer, but has yet to be convinced.

Nantes will face OGC Nice in the final. The team, made up of Calvin Stengs and Pablo Rosario, won 2-0 at Versailles 78 on Tuesday and played at the second level.

In Spain, Valencia qualified for the final of the King’s Cup. Ninth place in La Liga was 1-0 too strong for Athletic Club with a goal from Goncalo Guedes. The first game ended 1-1.

On Thursday, Real Betis and Rayo Vallecano will compete for the final ticket. Real Betis took a 2-1 lead in Sevilla.
