The Mexican Football Federation has announced that Jaime Lozano will remain the technical director of the national team.
He will be responsible for leading the tricolor team to the Mexico and USA World Cups in 2026.
The appeal was delivered by Ivar Sishniga, Executive President of the Federation.
The “Council of Experts” participated in the decision, which included former technical directors of the team, Javier Aguirre and Ricardo Lavolpe; Also participating are Rafael Marquez, Fernando Cueva (sports intelligence) and internationals Fernando Hierro and Carles Puyol.
Ricardo Lavolpe, a member of the advisory board, argued that this was a good decision because he is a coach who knows and represents Mexican football.
Javier Aguirre claimed that Lozano already has two achievements: a bronze medal at the Olympics and a Gold Cup.
The federation decided to protect the team with the arrival of Bernardo Cueva, who will focus on the development of fixed tactical games.
Meanwhile, it was reported that Dulio Davino would remain in charge of the Senior Selections.
His first announcement is that Senior Selection and Sub-23 will have the same sports project.
