The Buffalo defense was dominant from the first strike of the Colts; Dane Jackson intercepted Anthony Richardson. The Bills attack turned their defense into a James Cook rush landing.
In the second quarter, Buffalo increased their lead to 10:0.
The Colts’ reaction began in the last second of the first half with a rushing touchdown by Jake Funk that put them 10–7 apart.
Indianapolis came back 10-13 early in the third quarter with an interception driven into the end zone by Darius Rush.
Buffalo regained a 17-13 lead with a touchdown pass from Matt Barkley to Tyrell Shavers and extended to 23-13 with a touchdown to Desmon Patmon in the fourth quarter.
The Colts responded with a Jason Huntley touchdown, making it 23–19 to the Bills.
