Ricardo Antonio Ricardo La Volpe did not participate in the new project of the Mexican football team.
The departure came just three days after it was announced that the Argentine would join the Council of Experts of the Mexican Football Federation.
Last Thursday FMF released a video in which La Volpe approves the appointment of Jaime Lozano as technical director of the tricolor team.
He was reported to have “periodic external consultations with Jaime Lozano and his coaching staff”.
However, after the appointment, the ex-dt of the national team approached the microphones of WRadio and Fox Sports to deny his participation in the new project.
“… And for them to clarify what they want with this advice. I met with Juan Carlos Rodriguez and asked him to explain all this to me, it was a very superficial meeting. This is the decision of the FMS. I step aside and thank you.” (The last word).
“I can’t comment on Tri’s game when they made me a counselor,” he told Fox.
The Mexican Football Federation has decided to take action on the matter after the explosive announcements.

We thank Ricardo La Volpe for the exchange of ideas he has had in more than one meeting with our Executive President Ivar Sischniega over the past weeks.
We understand and respect the change in your position expressed in the previous days.
Ricardo’s knowledge and experience will always be in demand in this project.
What is the Expert Council of the Mexican Football Federation?
The Federation has shared the following information.
The Council is part of the Mexico Football Development Project. It is actively attended by former technical directors, former national team players, specialists in sports intelligence and interdisciplinary fields, as well as world champions.
– This is a group of experts who provide advice and opinions on various topics.
– Conducting individual coaching sessions.
– Share knowledge and experience.
– Conduct a workshop in accordance with your area of expertise.
– Gives feedback to the coaching staff before and after the match.
-Suggests and helps connect with professionals around the world to add to FMF goals.
-Supports the FMF Executive President in decision making
What does the Expert Council NOT do?
– Participation in the daily work of FMF
– interfere with calls and alignments
– Participation full time
– Make managerial and/or sports decisions
-Session all together
They will not always be the same experts, they may change according to the agenda and/or the needs of the FMF.
Is there a payment?A: Yes, FMF offers economic rewards, but there are employees who do not accept it to avoid conflicts of interest with their institutions.
