Inter Miami Leo Messi wins the League Cup | video

He Inter Miami Leo Messi was proclaimed champion League Cup 2023 after beating Nashville 9–10 on penalties at Jodice Park. It took the Argentine star less than a month to lift his first trophy with the Florida club.

The game began with a stalemate and several early fouls by the Nashville players. On 12′ there was the first danger of playing a long-range shot with Shaq Moore from the local team.

It was difficult for Inter Miami to create danger and it seemed that the game was getting more difficult, but it turned out Messi at 22 with another great goal from outside the box, his tenth goal since his arrival in Florida.

The game changed completely after the goal, and Nashville seemed to be nervous. Miami lived their best moment of the game with constant control of the ball and runs into other people’s nets. However, by the break they failed to widen the gap.

In the second half, Nashville went looking for a tie goal and it didn’t take long for them to score it. Fafa Pico equalized with a header after a corner kick in the 57th minute.

When the game was a draw, Messi did not take long to look for his double with you.The free kick flew high at 62 feet, and at 70 feet he hit the post, hitting the edge of the penalty area.

At 75 years old, Nashville was able to finish the game with a counterattack, but the goaltender Drake Callender did his best to equalize.

Subsequently, the game went on heat and there were no more chances for danger. Thus, the Final went to a penalty shootout.
