The statement proposes build a more respectful and cohesive community in motorsport and this comes after Marco’s comments about the “Checo” performance, which he linked to his nationality.

He later claimed that “nor wanted to say. I meant that the Mexican has a different mentality than the German or the Dutch. But who knows, maybe it’s under control.”.

These comments were heavily criticized on social media as they added to Marko’s list of statements linking “Czech’s” performance to his nationality.

After the wave of criticism he received, the Austrian councilor issued a statement in which he apologized for his comments:

I would like to apologize for my offensive comment and want to make it very clear that I don’t think we can generalize about people from any country, any race, any ethnicity. I tried to point out that Cheko changed his performance this year, but it was a mistake to attribute this to his cultural heritage.

At the moment, neither Formula 1 nor the team has made any statements about this. and the highest category, on the contrary, published this Friday on its website a note where the British pilot, Lando Norrisstated that he was “definitely open” to joining Verstappen as his partner at Red Bull.

He is definitely our candidate.

“At Toro Rosso (now AlphaTauri) we had already reached an agreement with him at the time when his manager realized that there was an opportunity to go to McLaren. In terms of youth and speed, he would suit us very well.“He sentenced Norris.
