Judge subpoenas Rubiales to testify on charges of sexual assault and coercion

National Court judge Francisco de Jorge summoned this Friday the former president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) Luis Rubiales will declare the investigation closed in an open sexual assault case for the kiss he gave to soccer player Jenny Hermoso after the World Cup final.

A day after admitting to a complaint filed by prosecutors against Rubiales for crimes of sexual violence and coercionThe magistrate issued an order summoning the former director to the Central Instruction Court No. 1 along with his lawyer.

In another proceeding the judge wants to conduct to “clarify the facts reported” by prosecutors, he believes Rubiales may have committing the crime of sexual assault by kissing Jenny Hermoso without her consentheard him grab her head with both hands, and again about the coercion due to the pressure she and those around her received to justify this episode publicly.

At the time the complaint is accepted for consideration The judge has already ordered the collection of all videos and images that they recorded the kiss Rubiales gave Hermoso “from all angles”, as well as the minutes immediately before and after the event celebrating the team’s World Cup victory in Sydney.
