The third-place match at the 2023 Rugby World Cup will be played at the Stade de France in Paris. In this final, the losers of the two semifinals will face each other.

This means it will be between New Zealand, Argentina or South Africa and England, and will take place next Friday, October 27th. From 8pm, it will be broadcast on ITV1 and S4C as well as ITVX.

In the 2019 tournament, the match was between New Zealand and Wales, who lost to England and South Africa respectively. The All Blacks won the match to secure third place and Wales fourth.

Wales also finished fourth at the 2011 World Cup, losing to Australia in the bronze final. Wales have won the bronze final once, beating Australia in 1987, the first World Cup.

England, who won the tournament in 2003 and reached the final four times, have only reached the bronze final once, losing to France in 1995.

This “Bronze” final is a consolation prize that does not really console the teams that did not reach the final in Saturday, October 28th.

There is still the opportunity to see great rugby and celebrate it at the Stade de France, in Saint-Denis.
