Cardiff City thrashed Huddersfield Town 4-0 for their first win in four games and sent them into the Championship play-offs.
Goals from Callum Robinson, Dimitrios Goutas and the return of Jaku Meite in the first half were followed by a stunning Perry Ng free-kick after the break as the Terriers completely dominated Errol Bulut’s side.

They had a remarkably calm first half, but managed to keep a clean sheet amid a series of late efforts from Huddersfield. Good save from Rudoni at the end, minutes after the midfielder hit the crossbar.
Perry Ng7
A solid performance, capped off by an absolutely stunning free kick that truly sealed the victory for the visitors. Twenty-five meters, curled up against the wall, with no chance for the goalkeeper. A beautiful thing.
Mark McGuinness 6
Another great performance from the big guy who, as always, looked composed on the ball.
Dimitrios Gutas 7
He may have scored at the weekend, but he could not be denied tonight as he doubled his side’s lead with a powerful header. Very useful at the other end too, keeping out an attempt off the line to deny Huddersfield a late consolation goal.
Jamila Collins 6
He was causing problems later on and I can’t blame his defense, but he got a silly yellow card at the end.
Manolis Siopis 8 (Starman)
One of his best games with a Cardiff shirt, as he did what he does best. Absolutely everywhere tonight when he was given license to come into midfield. Booked in an hour but this is forgivable as it seemed a little louder.
Joe Ralls 7
Another excellent performance from the captain who wreaked havoc on corners, leaving the Terriers’ defense restless.
Callum Robinson8
He needed to impress after his first start of the season and he certainly did, with a deft deflection giving his team the lead within two minutes. He looked dangerous every time he advanced and rattled the home defense as he showed the manager what he was capable of.
Josh Bowler 8
Glowing with confidence from the first word, making an early pass to Robinson and closing in on himself. He tried to shake off the opening blow whilst terrorizing the Terriers in attack, but was withdrawn after falling again on the hour mark. Anxiety after a brilliant performance.

You could feel how desperate he was to score against his old club, but it just didn’t happen. He got himself into several dangerous positions, but his touch let him down several times.
Yaku Meite 8
He caused Nakayama all sorts of problems on the right flank and was visibly frustrated at wasting an early opportunity. He showed that kind of hunger throughout and was rightly rewarded with a thunderous goal before half-time.

Ollie Tanner (for bowler, 63) – 6 – Some promising runs and I certainly wasn’t afraid to try, but I could have been a little more selfless.
Ike Ugbo (by Meite, 63) 6 – Couldn’t match Meite in terms of offensive threat, but didn’t make many mistakes.
Ryan Wintle (by Ralls, 66) 6 – Nothing remarkable, but not bad either.
Rubén Colville (by Robinson, 66) 5 – He was good with the ball, but not much on his part.
Abu Adams (by Siopis, 79)5– We booked late.
