Acevedo Mendoza was the fastest and added 124 points, ahead of Colombian Lina Hernandez (121) and Chilean Catalina Soto (120), silver and bronze, respectively.

With this gold medal on day four, Mexico won 30 gold medals and temporarily regained second place in the overall medal table, displacing Canada with 29 medals.
