Sean Avery, a former Canadian National Hockey League (NHL) player from the United States, suggested the goal was not an “accident” that led to the death of Nottingham Panthers American forward Adam Johnson on October 29 during the match against the Sheffield Steelers of the UK Challenge Cup.
Considering Avery, who played 12 seasons in the NHL for teams like the Detroit Red Wings, Los Angeles Kings, Dallas Stars and New York Rangers, and Sheffield Steelers player Matt Petgrave, I “absolutely” tried to contact Johnson, 29, suffered a serious neck injury and was taken to Sheffield North General Hospital where he lost his life.

Avery suggested Petgrave’s kick to Johnson was intentional, but declined to call it murder when pressed in the interview by Fox News host Jesse Watters.
