Luis Manuel Diaz and Silenis Marulandafather and mother of the football player Luis Fernando Diaz, was committed by a unit belonging to the ELN,” said the head of the government delegation, Otti Patiño, in a statement.
The kidnapping of Luis Manuel Diaz and Silenis Marulanda occurred while they were traveling in a van that was intercepted by subjects on a motorcycle.
On October 31, Colombian police assured that they were still searching for Luis Manuel Diaz after his wife and the footballer’s mother were released in the Barrancas area of La Guajira.
Police conducted aerial patrols over the jungle-covered Perija mountain range bordering Venezuela.
