Footballer Luis Diaz’s father was kidnapped by ELN, Colombian government confirms

“We learned that on October 28, in Barrancas, La Guajira department, there was a kidnapping of which they were victims. The kidnapping of Luis Manuel Diaz and Silenis Marulanda occurred while they were traveling in a van that was intercepted by subjects on a motorcycle.

On October 31, Colombian police assured that they were still searching for Luis Manuel Diaz after his wife and the footballer’s mother were released in the Barrancas area of ​​La Guajira.

Police conducted aerial patrols over the jungle-covered Perija mountain range bordering Venezuela.
