The Club begins negotiations on Ralls’ contract
Cardiff have begun talks with captain Joe Ralls over a possible contract extension.
The Bluebirds captain, who joined the club 12 years ago, signed a two-year contract in the summer of 2022, meaning his current contract expires next June. City have signed a number of senior players this season and it looks like Jamilu Collins will be next on the agenda.
However, it seems that Rells’ future is also a topic of discussion off-screen. And Bulut positively values the progress of these negotiations.
When asked about a possible new deal with Ralls, Bulut said: “We are making good decisions on that. Our guys are working on it.”

Bulut’s own future
While Bulut has been proactive in signing players, he appears to be in no rush to determine his own future in the Welsh capital.
City fans would have to search their memory archives for the last time a bigger club signed a manager, but having seen the Turkish manager have such a tumultuous start to life in Wales, we could forgive fans for growing up unconcerned. with a duration agreed by the manager.
We understand that Bulut has signed an initial contract until the end of the season, but there is a clause that allows the club to play for another two seasons. Speaking about his contract, he said: “First, I’m trying to get the players’ contracts sorted out. My case is in the hands of the president and Vincent Tan. We haven’t talked about it until now. I just focus on doing a good job here and on my own work.
“But, of course, it is also important for the Club. And for me to plan something for the future, training and similar things for the new season. Everything is important, but so far we haven’t had any meetings about it.” “.
Injury update
Bulut expects Aaron Ramsey and Callum O’Dowd to leave in mid-December.
Wales manager Rob Page said Ramsey was pushing to be included in the Wales squad next week before failing and will now be out for a little longer than planned. Corroborating Page’s summary, Bulut said: “As far as I know he was fine and then he felt a bit of pain during training in his hamstring. Now he is resting.
“I think we have to see after this week off. I don’t think his return will change. I think it will be soon. The operation is definitely not necessary. So the medical department said he should take a week off and then start exercising.
“It’s going to be eight to 12 weeks since he got hurt, now with that extra week or 10 days, maybe it’s going to be 10 to 12 weeks.”
When asked about O’Dowd, Bulut said: “He will be the same, maybe mid or late December.”
Perry by the bell
Bluebirds defender Perry Ng has been nominated for the October Championship Player of the Month award.
The EFL refereeing panel wrote in his appointment: “Returning to his natural position at right-back this season, Ng has been vital at both sides of the field, scoring against Huddersfield and Bristol City, as well as two goals, including an excellent free . – Kick at Huddersfield.”
There is no doubt that Ng was one of the standout players during Cardiff’s campaign and was even rated as the best in the division by WhoScored.
Ng faces Leicester City’s Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Ipswich Town’s Vaclav Hladkom and Leeds United’s Chrisencio Summerville. The winner will be announced tomorrow morning.
