The nine-year-old daughter of Welsh international Willis Halaholo gave an emotional speech to the entire Cardiff rugby team. Halaholo will make his 100th appearance in the blue and black shirt on Friday night when the Capital Region face the Vodacom Bulls at the Arms Park.
The center returned to Cardiff on a short-term contract at the start of the season, and his historic performance will mark a great return after a frustrating run of injuries.
Before a monumental game for the 10-cap Welsh international, his daughter said a few words about her father. “Hello everyone. Dad, we are all so proud of you for playing 100 games for Cardiff Rugby. We all want you to know how much we love you. We are all your biggest fans.
“We want you to know that if you fall, we are here to help you get back up. We love you because you are strong, kind, funny, and the best dad ever.
Cardiff Rugby wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Theulu (family). The house is barely dry when Willis Halaholo receives his 100th Cardiff shirt from his wife and five daughters. His nine-year-old daughter Sitina also wanted to say a few words to her father in front of the team.” It appears his wife Sandra also gave a speech in which he cried with pride.
Halaholo’s career was on the brink a year ago when he suffered a horrific training injury that kept him sidelined for 360 days. During this time, Cardiff released him and he faced an uncertain future. However, after returning to fitness, he signed again for a short period and on Friday night reached the special milestone of 200. You can read about his long road to recovery here in this exclusive interview.

Cardiff manager Matt Sherratt also had a few words to say about Halaholo’s great game: “It means a lot to us as a club when someone reaches one of these milestones.
“If you look at some of the big moments and big wins over the last six or seven years, Willis was there. He was a brilliant player for the club and a brilliant man for the club.
“When he faced the Ospreys in pre-season, he hadn’t played in 360 days. It’s a little emotional. It’s fantastic to see him back on the field, playing with his teammates and reaching 100 games. “He showed great resilience and fought for his career.”
Halaholo will line up alongside defender Ray Lee-Lo in midfield when Cardiff face the Bulls at 7.35pm under lights on Friday night.
