Pelova scores crucial goal for Arsenal with Miedema left on the bench

Dutch national team player Victoria Pelova played an important role in Arsenal’s 6-2 win over Leicester City. He scored 4-2, made two assists and was rightfully named player of the game.

Trailing 2-0 at half-time, Arsenal completely reversed the situation in the second half. Vivianne Miedema, who made a comeback after a serious injury at the end of October, sat on the bench throughout the match.

Manchester City lost to Brighton & Hove Albion (0-1), where Jill Roord was in the starting 11. Dutch goalkeeper Daphne van Domselaar kept a clean sheet against Aston Villa’s direct rivals, Bristol City, and won the match 2-0.

With this statement, Aston Villa gives the red light to the Bristol team. Arsenal currently sit second in the English League. City are in sixth place and Brighton are in eighth place.

PSG won with the Greens

In France, Jackie Groenen defeated Dijon 5-2 with the goal he scored for Paris Saint-Germain. It was replaced sixty minutes later. Lieke Martens (injured) was not in the squad.

Tabita Chawinga was important for the Paris team with her three goals.

The film Copa 71, about the forgotten Women’s World Cup, is currently being screened at the Idfa Documentary Film Festival.
