The Mexican Softball League (LMS), announced on September 20 by the organizers of the Mexican Baseball League (LMB), will have its first season in January this year, marking a new milestone in women’s sports, not only in our country, but also in everything about Latin America, as it is the first professional league of its kind.
The league’s six founding teams will announce their official schedule on Wednesday, November 15, and will play a total of 24 regular-season games (12 home and 12 away) starting January 25 to qualify for the postseason.
The knockout stage starts after the end of the regular competition on March 3, while the semi-finals take place from March 5 to 10. Finally, the Queen Series will take place from the 12th to the 17th, which will crown the first championship group in the history of the LMS.
The opening match of the championship will take place on January 25 between Charras de Jalisco and Bravas de León, at the Domingo Santana Stadium in Guanajuato.
