Parapan American Games 2023: Arnulfo Catorena gives Mexico its first gold

The Mexican delegation won the first six medals on the first day of para swimming at the 2023 Parapan American Games in Santiago. Mexico There is also one gold medal, two silver and three bronze.

World champion Arnulfo Catorena won the first gold and medal for Mexico in the final of the 50 meter breaststroke, category SB2.

The harvest continued with Nely Miranda winning silver in the SB3 50m breaststroke final.

In other results, Matilde Alcázar won bronze in the final of the 50 meters freestyle, category S11, and Jesus Ruiz took third place in the metal in the 100 meters breaststroke SB4.
