An unstoppable Mahamoud Barry led the Malian team to an impressive 5-0 victory over Mexico on Tuesday in the round of 16 of the 2023 U17 World Cup in Indonesia. Three goals in the first fifteen minutes guaranteed the Africans a place in the quarter-finals -Last.
Mali started better and showed a synchronized, coordinated and attacking team. The tireless Barry never let the Mexican goal down and came close to scoring the first goal early in the match.

An assist from Barry, the main character on the field this afternoon, gave him the perfect opportunity to do so. Tia Marcial conceded the fifth goal to seal the confident victory for the African team, who will face the winner of the Morocco-Iran match for a place in the semi-finals.
