Landman beat Klaasen with a spectacular run to reach the finals of the Lakeside tournament

Chris Landman reached the final of the WDF World Championships. Landman, 42, won in the semifinals against compatriot Jelle Klaasen, who won the famous Lakeside tournament in 2006. It was 5-3 at the Lakeside Entertainment Complex in Frimley Green.

Landman won the first set but then Klaasen stepped up and took three sets in a row.

However, Landman did not show up and won the match by winning four sets in a row. Klaasen missed too many chances, while Landman stood tall and scored at critical moments.

Klaasen will play the final against Andy Baetens on Sunday evening. The Belgian player is number 1 in the WDF rankings, while Klaasen is ranked third.

De Graaf in the women’s final

In the women’s category, 33-year-old Aileen de Graaf made it to the finals. De Graaf defeated four-time world champion Lisa Ashton. In the final, De Graaf will face Beau Greaves. Greaves, 19, is considered the biggest talent among women. This year she won the Women’s World Matchplay in the PDC darts association and last year she won the Women’s World Championship title in the WDF.

However, De Graaf won the final against Greaves at the Dutch Open in January.

In the men’s tournament, Dutch Bradley van der Velden will play in the final against Irish Adam Dee.
