Here is Luton’s latest statement on Lockyer.
“We are all hoping and praying for our leader and Captain Tom Lockyer, who responds gratefully and is taken to hospital.”
We don’t know the full extent of what has happened at this stage and what the next steps will be, but we are grateful to Bournemouth and the medical team at both sides for their immediate response, which was absolutely incredible.
We regret for all of us, the fans present, that the players of both teams could not continue the match after their dear teammate and friend was eliminated in this way, and that the team could not continue the match due to the situation under such circumstances.
We thank everyone for the wonderful applause and shouting Locks’ name in the stadium at such a difficult time.
This is the time for all our players, staff and fans to come together, as we always do, and send our love and support to Tom and his family.
Our thoughts are with him and everyone.”
