“It’s natural [to be linked] because I worked there, he said. – Maybe someone saw me in a cafe in Wales and put two and two together. But I actually live there and have lived there for almost five years.
“It’s really good, but I need to focus on doing my job here.”
Asked by BBC Radio Nottingham whether he is being questioned about returning to the south coast of Wales, he added: “If you speak to the owners they will tell you that Swansea have not called them.
“If there is an official approach, that is one thing, but people are talking. I’m focused on Notts County, it’s the club that welcomed me, the club that gave me an incredible experience.
“I’m just focused on repaying the trust that people have placed in me here, from the owners to the fans. The fans are incredible. I was linked to Bristol City and Oxford and I have to thank the players for that. That. It’s their fault for stringing me along because they played incredible football last season.
“They showed that they can advance and with almost the same group they can be in the top six of the next division.
“That’s the reason they call me, I blame them. It’s nice to think that people can appreciate the work I do, but I know I’m part of a team and that’s what attracts attention.”
