Tired of being with your family? These fitness challenges will help you get through the Christmas holidays

The Premier League has come to a halt, but don’t worry sports fans. There are many offers during the Christmas holidays. For example, darts players complete the world championship, skaters compete in national and European championships, cyclocross riders compete in races and Rafael Nadal returns to the tennis court.

Tired of family? There’s still a lot to keep track of then. We have listed some of our offers for you.

December 24: Warm-up

There will be a warm-up football match on December 24 before we start the Christmas dinner. F.Bahçe and Galatasaray will face each other in Turkey.

Normally it’s a poster to look forward to, but now it’s even more so. The number 1 and 2 teams of the Super League are fighting for the top.

26 December: Boxing Day

Football is also played on Christmas. The Manchester United game on Boxing Day, for example, will set Erik ten Hag’s mood this holiday season. Unless Ten Hag never makes it to Christmas.

Thursday, December 28: National Track Cycling Championships and National Distance Cycling Championships

There will be sports violence in Apeldoorn and Heerenveen from 28 December. In Omnisport they compete for national championships in track cycling, and in Thialf they compete for national championships in the National Distance Championships. Both sports can be followed on NOS in the evenings.

National championship distances will also be held on Saturday, December 29 and Sunday, December 30.

Later during the Christmas break, from 5 to 7 January, Thialf will also race for the European Championship title as part of the European Championship distances. These games can also be watched via NOS.

From 31 December: Nadal returns to the tennis courts

Tennis fans can treat themselves during the upcoming Christmas holidays. This is how Rafael Nadal celebrates his return to the tennis court. The Spaniard will play in the ATP tournament in Brisbane after a year-long injury recovery. Since the match schedule has not been announced yet, we do not yet know which day Nadal will play.

You can enjoy tennis at the United Cup starting from December 29th. The Netherlands qualified for the tournament with mixed national teams for the first time this year. Tallon Greekpoor, Arantxa Rus, Wesley Koolhof, Thiemo de Bakker, Arianne Hartono and Demi Schuurs are used.

January 1: Who doesn’t know this? We will jump!
