Mexican Jaime Jaquez Jr.. He had the best game of his career, scoring 31 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, to lead the Miami Heat in Monday’s 119-113 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on the NBA’s Christmas Day special.
The Mexican, who also recorded the first double-double of his NBA career, became the fifth rookie in NBA history to score at least 30 points and 10 rebounds in a Christmas Day game. The other four Patrick Ewing, Oscar Robertson, Wilt Chamberlain and Walt Bellamy.

There were two major absences in this game: neither Jimmy Butler, who missed his third straight game, nor Joel Embiid.
It was the Heat’s third win in a row and sixth in their last eight games as the Sixers suffered a setback after winning eight in their last nine games.
The regulars also shined for Miami: Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro with 26 and 22 points, respectively. Tobias Harris scored for the Sixers with 27 and Kelly Oubre Jr. with 25.
