Yerson Mosquera, new Villarreal player

Through their digital platforms, Spanish side Villarreal announced the signing of Yerson Mosquera, a 22-year-old Colombian central defender, on loan until the end of the season.

The Spanish team reached an agreement with Wolverhampton of the English Premier League, a club that owns the rights to Mosquera. However, the defender spent all of 2023 with Cincinnati of the MLS, winning the United States Supporters’ Shield.

Mosquera, who made his debut at Atlético Nacional, will experience his second podium in European football between 2021 and 2022 after a first experience with Wolverhampton, although he only played one official match with the ‘Wolves’ during that period.

Yerson will wear number two and perform his first training session as ‘Groguet’ on Wednesday. Later he will be presented at a press conference together with the Portuguese Gonçalo Guedes.

What were the diplomatic efforts to recapture the Pan American Games?

Do not forget that Yerson Mosquera is part of the current process that the Argentinian Néstor Lorenzo is carrying out with the Colombian senior team and played three matches in 2023 with the ‘Tricolor’ shirt.
