This is the first tricolor to lead the Ticos in history, and it takes on the main mission of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.

Miguel Ernesto Herrera Aguirre He was born on March 18, 1968 and is 1.70 meters tall.
He coached Xolos de Tijuana, with whom he did not succeed, as he was unable to reach important levels of play or advance in the league.
Before that, he ended up in Tigres, where he fought with the team and fans.
His most important club stage took place with America in two stages (2012-2013, as well as 2017 and 2020).
He was technical director of the Mexico national team from 2013 to 2015, but was forced to leave through the back door after an attack on commentator Christian Martinoli.
