For the thirteenth time, a Dutch boat is participating in the Ocean Race

For the thirteenth time in history, a Dutch boat starts The Ocean Race, one of the most prestigious sailing competitions in the world.

The Dutch team will participate under the name Sailing Team Nextgen and can count on the support of Carolijn Brouwer, who wrote history in the final edition of the race, including being the first female crew member to win the race. †

For Brouwer, after three appearances for foreign teams, he appears for the first time in The Ocean Race, the Dutch campaign that was previously known as the Volvo Ocean Race. Brouwer: “Historically, we are the strongest country in the Netherlands. I won in the last race, but I was not part of a Dutch team. ABN AMRO I was the last Dutch boat to win, but there were no Dutch on board”
