Dutch alpine skiers were caught next to a giant slalom medal at the Paralympic Games in Beijing on Thursday. Zitskier Jeroen Kampschreur finished second after moto 1, but there were only four doors left in moto 2.
The 22-year-old Kampschreur, who won five World Cup titles in 2019, took home the silver medal in the super combination on Monday. Norwegian Jesper Pedersen won his third Paralympic gold medal in giant slalom.
Niels de Langen, bronze medalist in the super combination, finished seventh, more than twelve seconds behind Pedersen. Floris Meijer is tenth in fifteen seconds.
On standing skis, Jeffrey Stuut finished 20th in the giant slalom. He was almost twelve seconds slower than the winning Finnish Santeri Kiiveri.
The Netherlands has so far won two medals in China. The host country is the leader in the medal table with more than thirty medals.
