The villa remained dangerous until the last moment. Especially Danny Ings got the chance to hurt his old club.
Liverpool were back on the same level in points (86) as Manchester City, which was waiting for the away game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday evening. After this game, Liverpool and City have two games left to play.
