Milan and Lazio will raise money to support Ukraine

Milan and Lazio have launched several initiatives to raise funds that will be allocated to organizations working together for the benefit of Ukraine as a result of the invasion of the country by Russia.

Milan is collaborating with the Red Cross on a solidarity collection, will hold charity auctions of first-team player items, will get a special shirt together with former Ukrainian club player Adriy Shevchenko and will undertake activities to “encourage” fans to donate to San Siro during the game against Empoli this weekend, the club ‘rossoneri’ reported on Saturday.

The Milanese group started the collection for the Red Cross with a donation “which was intended to provide first aid kits, medicines and first aid equipment to people affected by the war”.

In addition, the red and black club has released a special shirt, tailored by Shevchenko and inspired by the one worn by the golden ball 2004 during the final of the Champions League from 2002-03, who will carry the Ukrainian flag on his shoulders and chest, as well as the message “Milan for Peace”.

The shirt is already for sale and you can make a donation of up to 50 euros. The money obtained from the sale of these shirts will be donated to the Red Cross Italian for the project in favor of Ukraine.
