Japanese tennis player Osaka appoints own manager

“Even when people say it’s not as expected or in the usual way, I’ve done everything my way in my career,” Osaka said. “Creating Evolve is the natural next step in my journey as a sports and business woman and also a way to be myself and do things my way.”

Osaka won its first Grand Slam title at the US Open in 2018 and took first place at the Australian Open a year later. He won both tournaments in 2020 (US Open) and 2021 (Australian Open). Although Osaka is currently 38, it also reached number one in the world rankings. The Japanese are considered the highest paid athlete in the world by all business deals.

Last year, Osaka looked at the mental problems that many elite athletes face. He decided to boycott the press at Roland Garros and eventually withdrew from the Grand Slam tournament because of all the fuss his boycott had caused. The tennis star later missed Wimbledon.
