‘The Pitbull’ barks and bites in the Major Leagues. Harold Ramírez went 1-3, with a run, and his team, the Tampa Bay Rays, defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 3-0 in front of 20,832 spectators at Tropicana Field, in Florida, on Sunday.
The Colombian, who played as a rightfielder, has an offensive average of 286.
The game was 0-0 until the bottom of the sixth inning when the Rays drove in all three winning runs off starter Alek Manoah.
Third baseman Matt Chapman, a three-time winner of the American League Gold Glove, made an error and the hairline came.

Brandon Lowe and Wander Franco singled, with one out on the board, and moved to first and second base, respectively. Chapman neatly fielded a groundout to Harold Ramirez and tried to be forced out at second base, but his pitch went into right field, enabling Lowe to score the first run of the game.
Then a bad pitch by Manoah (wild pitch) allowed Franco to call the box office and push Ramírez into third place. Next, Ji-Man Choi singled to left field to bring in the native Cartagena at the plate.
The win went to Matt Wisler, who threw 1 1/3 innings without allowing a hit or giving up a walk. Andrew Kittredge made five saves.
