FC Eindhoven grabbed straws at The Hague in the play-offs

In the first half, FC Eindhoven was lucky, but the goals were for ADO.

The guest, who finished third in the regular competition, proved dangerous several times in the early game for goalkeeper Alessandro Damen from The Hague. However, these opportunities were not lost to Charles-Andreas Brym, Sleegers and Jort van der Sande.

Head as hard as a rock

On the other hand, ADO was much more decisive. The first chance flew by. Dhoraso Klas came in hard after the assist from Thomas Verheydt.

Shortly afterwards, Verheydt had a fantastic header and ADO was already 2-0 down.

The head of the striker from The Hague even received praise from an opponent a few days ago.

Mario Bilate, who was eliminated by ADO with his team NAC Breda in the first round of the promotion/relegation play-offs on Saturday, tweeted immediately after the goal.

In the second half FC Eindhoven made a move from the penalty spot.

The Sleegers were allowed to build eleven meters after ADO defender Hervé Matthys foolishly broke through backup Justin Ogenia. The 27-year-old left winger Sleegers scored his 24th goal of the season.

The duel broke out later, when Verheydt and Maarten Peijnenburg got into an argument. The striker took revenge for an earlier push from the Eindhoven defender and received a yellow card.

No goals yet. The decision on this match will be made on Saturday. The winner of this duo will play the final of the promotion/relegation play-off on Tuesday 24 and Sunday 29 May with the winner of the clash between Excelsior and Herakles Almelo.

These two clubs will meet for the first time on Wednesday evening.
