Fluminense humiliates Oriente Petrolero 10-1, but fails to advance to round of 16

Fluminense humiliated Oriente Petrolero de Bolivia with a crushing 1-10 but, despite the beating, failed to make the round of 16 of the Copa Sudamericana, which was won by Unión de Santa Fe in Group H.

The ‘Flu’, led by the Brazilian Fernando Diniz, took this big win with the triples of Matheus Martins at 28 seconds, and at 41 and 54 minutes and Germán Cano at 9, 13 and 58 minutes, the shots by Jhon Arias on Age 17, Caio Paulista striker at 36, Manoel at 65 and William Gomes at 75.

The Refiners fans launched a blast into the field that briefly halted play and mobilized the police.

The match ended before the 90 minutes were up by a decision by Ecuadorian referee Guillermo Guerrero.
