Rick Karsdorp struggled to adjust to Feyenoord against AS Roma in Wednesday night’s Conference League final. The right-back came to the club of his age for the first time.
Karsdorp and his Roman teammates led by coach José Mourinho won the final 1-0 in Tirana and proved stronger. The only goal came in the first half and was scored by Nicolò Zaniolo.
After the final, Karsdorp said: “It was the first time I played against my old team and it was very uncomfortable. During matches it wasn’t that bad, but before that it was weird. I got messages from my friends and family.” Said. ESPNI
The defender realized he wasn’t quite himself physically. “Sixty minutes later I got cramps, very strange. At one point I suffered from groin pain, I think because I had calf cramps for a long time. It was one of my worst matches, but it doesn’t bother me at all.”
“we stop”
Karsdorp, 27, learned that the Dutch media was heavily focused on Mourinho’s Roma tactics as the Conference League final approached. He saw that the tactical plan was working.
,,I’ve read everything: ‘Rome makes 1-0 and then closes. I really liked Feyenoord, but in the end we won. We had to stop in the second half and we did.”
The Dutch National Team has won the international third major prize three times. He won the KNVB Cup with Feyenoord in 2016 and became champion with the Rotterdam team in 2017.
