The police arrested 72 people in Rotterdam on Wednesday evening after Feyenoord lost 1-0 to AS Roma in the Conference League final. There was activity in many parts of the city.
Riots broke out in several parts of the city. According to a police spokesperson, there have been numerous incidents and fights in the city. Rocks and bottles were thrown at the officers. Two police officers suffered minor injuries after being hit by glass and stones.
According to a spokesman, the rioters caused “heavy destruction”. A tram and a bus were also damaged. Especially in the center a lot of heavy fireworks could be heard.
