Two players from the French club Auxerre were slightly injured in the events following the won promotion match in Saint-Étienne on Sunday evening.
Hundreds of Saint-Etienne fans rushed onto the pitch after Auxerre’s penalty kick victory. Home fans threw fireworks and flares at the players who had fled to the locker room.
