Reserve Depay gives Orange overtime victory over Wales (3-2)

The Orange squad won 3-2 against Wales in the Nations League for the fourth time. A small circle started with a late equalizing goal, but the Nations League run ended in victory thanks to the winning goal by Memphis Depay.

It was not of good quality and was initially unnecessary against the helpless Welsh side. The Orange did not have to worry, but the extra time penalty from reserve Gareth Bale gave Wales a point. Until the ball goes deeper in front of Depay’s feet in added time: 3-2.

Lang and Gakpo are dangerous, Janssen deserves it

National coach Louis van Gaal has become a bit smarter again: Stars Noa Lang and Cody Gakpo and the Orange squad will soon receive two dangerous substitutions in Qatar.

It didn’t go well for De Kuip, but Lang was the most dangerous player on the field at halftime with dribbles and crosses. The Welsh defense was immediately tense at every contact with the ball. Gakpo’s quick dribble also made Wales nervous.

Striker Vincent Janssen played honorably. He duly fulfilled the role of benchmark against which Van Gaal wanted to test himself several times. The Monterrey striker got a 1-0 assist from Lang, who deftly swept the two defenders away.
