Bauke Mollema won the Dutch time trial title for the first time. At the national championships in Emmen he surpassed Tom Dumoulin, who won no less than four times. Daan Hoole was the third fastest.
He will be standing as a cyclist after this season and thus working on his last NK, Dumoulin started as favorite, but already gave up ten seconds at Mollema at the first measuring point. De Groninger, who finished a handsome fourth in the final Giro time trial, ran later and was half a minute faster than Dumoulin at the finish.
Daan Hoole lost two seconds to Dumoulin, as a result of which double winner Jos van Emden (2010 and 2019) took bronze.
First NK time trial for Mollema
Mollema, 35, took part in the Dutch time trial championship for the first time.
