The realization of the World Bike Tour Lisbon-Oeiras 2022 will see the closure of Avenida Marginal towards Cascais-Lisbon on Sunday, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, between Algés and Oeiras, and the use of parking garages is also conditioned .
The exit and access to the marina of Oeiras and Praia da Torre is only allowed on the Cascais side, with the permission of the Public Security Police.
On Sunday, around 4,000 cyclists are expected to participate in the World Bike Tour 2022.
The departure is scheduled at 11:00, in Praça do Comércio (Lisbon) with arrival in Praia da Torre (Oeiras). On this 19 km tour with no competition goals, “but the motivation to do physical activity”, explains the organizers.
The municipalities of Oeiras and Lisbon are the official partners of the WBT, organized by the company Happiness Condition, in addition to the Portuguese Cycling Federation, the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth and the Intervention Services in Addictive Behaviors and Dependencies and other entities.
The first edition of the World Bike Tour took place in Lisbon, in 2006, departing from the Vasco da Gama Bridge, the second time Oeiras has welcomed the arrival of participants.
