the weekend of French GP of Formula 1 2022 is ready to take off: today on the Paul Ricard circuit in Le Castellet starts with first free practice sessions (FP1 and FP2) which will open the 12th round program of the season. Headlights focused on Ferraris and Red Bulls to understand which car is best suited for the transalpine track. Sainz, however, carries the unknown penalty due to the repeated engine changes that were necessary after the taste that compromised his race in Austria. The much-discussed rule of purpose will not yet affect the Grand Prix, but at Le Castellet the first steps taken by the various teams could be within the limits imposed by the new technical directive that will come into force after the summer break and whether this will allow Mercedes to definitively eliminate the difference with Ferrari and Red Bull.
