Brian Brobbey returns to Ajax after a short German adventure. The team from Amsterdam took over the attacker from RB Leipzig, who went the other way a year ago without a transfer, for 16.35 million euros. With bonuses, the total can rise to 19.35 million euros.
Twenty-year-old Brobbey signs a five-year contract with the club in which he enters the youth academy and makes his professional debut. He could not agree on a new contract last year and gave up a free transfer to RB Leipzig.
Brobbey did not show up in Leipzig. He played a total of thirteen league matches, but did not score. Six months later, the attacker was again loaned to Ajax, where he played a key role in the national title with seven goals in eleven Eredivisie matches.
